Sarah’s Story (Envy)

Sarah sighed as she felt her life ending, nothing could stop it and she knew it. She looked into the eyes of her crying mother. Her brown eyes seemed full of fear and sadness, which she knew would fade after a few days. She felt her mother stroke her head, the only place that didn’t have blood on it.

“Why is this happening to me?” Sarah cried, wishing someone would tell her but in her mind she already knew why.

“I don’t know honey, but you’ll be fine, you’ll see.” Her mother looked away, so her daughter wouldn’t see how worried she was.

‘Of course you don’t, and you don’t care if I live, you have Christine, why do you need me?’ she thought gloomily ‘I HATE Christine! She always gets everything and when I do get something, something like this has to happen. Man, she is so pretty and she gets all the boys. She has her beautiful long brown hair, her deep blue eyes and her wonderful body. What do I have; small boobs, a large ass and greasy brown hair that doesn’t do anything. That’s probably why I’m dying and she’s not, I’m too ugly to stay on earth so I’m being placed somewhere else, and I can almost guess where I’ll go. I’ll probably be too ugly for heaven and be sent to hell, while my sister lives happily in heaven. IT’S NOT FAIR!’

Sarah began to feel sleepy and decided she no longer wanted to see her perfect sister or her mother anymore and closed her eyes. She didn’t know at the time what awaited her on the other side.

Sarah woke up and looked around; to her right was this beautiful golden gate that looked so warm and inviting. To her left was a dark gloomy gate that reeked of dead carcasses and burnt flesh. She looked down at her self and saw she wore no clothes and felt completely vulnerable. She stood up and hated her body, she never like showing it off but she was dead so she was willing to let it slide this time.

Sarah looked at the terrible gate to her left and said “uh, I’ll go to the one on the right.”

She began the walk over to the gate on the right. There sat a handsome man. He had short brown hair and wore a white cloak. He was sitting behind a huge desk. When she got closer she saw a beautiful gold halo and beautiful white silky wings.

“Excuse me” she said standing in front of the desk.

The man looked up from his work and looked at her “hello young lady, may I help you?” he said in suck a sweet way.

“I’m kind of lost, can you tell me where I am” Sarah said with the sweetest smile she had.

“Why of course, you’re at heavens gates.” He said with a smile.

“May I go into heaven?” Sarah asked cautiously.

‘Doubt I’ll be let in but it never hurts to ask. As long as I don’t have to go to that other gate, I’m happy’ Sarah thought waiting for his answer.

“Can you tell me your name please.” He asked politely.

“Sarah Carson” she said waiting for a reply.

He scanned a book and frowned. “I’m sorry miss but you don’t seem to be in our books, you must be at the wrong gate” he said sadly.

“What do you mean? Where does the other gate go to?” Sarah asked afraid of what she would hear.

“I can’t tell you that. You’ll have to go to the other gate to find out.” He said, sadness in his voice.

“Ok” Sarah said afraid but knew she had to find out.

She began to walk away and heard the man say “Wait!” she turned around hoping they had made a mistake. She saw him running over and then he took her hands “I’m sorry you got lost” was what he said. He looked into her eyes with such pity and she knew why.

Sarah took her hands away from him and walked towards the other gate, where she knew she didn’t want to be but had to be.

As she reached the other gate, she plugged her nose to keep the smell of rotting bodies out of her nose but it was too overpowering. She reached the gate and saw this beautiful woman, she looked just like Christine.

‘Great, someone else that looks better then me’ she thought.

“Ah, Envy, I was waiting for you.” The woman said smiling.

“You must be confusing me with someone else, my name is Sarah.” She said backing away from the gate.

“No, your birthmother called you Sarah but here, you are called Envy.” She heard the voice from behind and felt a hand on her shoulder. She ran forward and turned around the see the lady was behind her now.

“What do you want?!?” Sarah asked afraid.

“We’ve been waiting for you, now it’s time you join our master, where you belong.” She had an evil grin and was moving closer to Sarah, who was forced to move closer to the awful smelling gate.

Finally she bumped into the gate and felt a hand grab her arm. Another grabbed her leg and another on her throat. The woman took out a wipe and lashed the hands.

“This one is not here to save you, this one is here to torture you.” She had an evil smile on her face and looked at Sarah.

“What do you mean?” Sarah asked confused.

“I told you, you are Envy, you were sent down there so you could become a sole, now it’s time for you to choose whether you torture your people or become one of them.”

The woman held out the whip for Sarah to take. Sarah looked at the woman and at the gate. She smiled evilly at the gate and looked at the woman.

“I’ll take it” she said grabbing the whip.

“Good choice, I can’t wait until the others arrive.” The woman said overjoyed.

“Others . . .” Sarah said angrily “I thought I was the only one.”

“There are seven of you but for now, you’re the only one here. Don’t worry, they wont be here for a while so have fun and torture and many as you can.” The woman opened the gate and Sarah walked in, her whip in hand.

The gate slowly closed behind her and screams shortly followed, with more to come.

“Now that I have my little Envy back” the woman changed into a horrible black creature with long fangs and claws, both dripping with blood. She had huge dark purple wings, “it won’t be long before hell is back to normal.”
